One of the perks of being a musician is the opportunity to travel and see different parts of the world. As we all know traveling can also be a bit stressful, especially when dealing the TSA and the airline you are flying with on your trip. I’ve been through security both in the USA and in Europe a few times lately and I can offer some useful advice.

Featured Real School Instructor: Theo Griffin

Theo Griffin is a Voice, Piano and Bass instructor at The Real School of Music at our Burlington, MA location. Theo's career in the arts began as a boy soprano in a choir of men & boys in Hartford, CT. As a soloist, he attended consecutive summers at The Royal School of Church Music at Princeton and Lawrenceville Schools. As a teen, he studied acting and performed in regional theater groups. Professionally, Theo performed at the Hartford Stage Company, and also as Vocal & Acting Coach for the company's Youth Theatre. Theo attended Oberlin College and studied voice at Oberlin Conservatory. As a songwriter and composer, Theo taught song-writing workshops for The Wang Center's Young at Arts, Boston, MA. He has also composed music for the play, "No Politics & Symbiotic" by Patrick Brennan. He was also the Lyricist for Brennan's Play/Musical "First Person Shooter", which won the Best Plays of 2000 competition at Stageplays.com. Theo has also directed plays with Boston’s Playwrights Platform and Hovey Summer Shorts. Theo has been musical director, songwriter or bassist for many bands including Boston-based band Neon Grandma.
