James Towlson has been singing and performing since the age of 4. He began studying voice under the tutelage of Peter Mancuso at age 12 years and continued throughout his middle school and high school years. During this time he was selected by the National Association of Music Education to perform in three All State choir ensembles and by 1998 he was chosen out of thousands by the National Association for Music All-Eastern Choir to perform at Carnegie Hall. In 1999 James enrolled at Berklee College where he studied voice under Professor Charles Sorrento while also immersing himself in the local Boston and New York City music scene. Since attaining a Bachelors Degree in Voice in 2003 James has been involved in multiple projects, most notably The Campaign for Real Time. The band won the WBCN Battle of the Bands in 2006 and that same year the Local Debut Album of the Year Boston Music Award. In 2007 the band was signed by UK label Big Scary Monsters and had toured the United Kingdom multiple times also working with platinum record producer Andrew Murdock. While still playing in local music groups, in recent years James has expanded into film and television; scoring music for projects ranging from reality sitcoms to documentaries. Throughout his experiences James' passion and excitement for music has been as unwavering, along with his enthusiasm in sharing it.
